Started in 1997, the Demonstration Garden is a great resource of gardening information throughout the spring, summer and fall. Growing a bounty of beautiful vegetables with different gardening techniques, it has donated over 7,000 pounds of produce to local food banks each of the last two years. Master Gardener volunteers tend the garden and share information with the public on growing vegetables in our area. Stop by and visit the garden, it is located adjacent to the Extension Office on Sagamore Parkway South.
Another great season in the demo garden, with over 5,000 lbs of produce contributed to local food pantries. We also tried some cover crops and have put the garden to bed for the winter, covered with straw.
